We've recently upgraded the audio/video electronics in our home after switching to satellite service. My hubby loves his mancave (the den) so I thought I'd surprise him with what I thought would be a small, uncomplicated sound system to go with the new 32" HDTV - just to give it all a little boost.



Sony's connections diagram couldn't be easier. Setup was simple using a couple of extra HDMI cables - one included by Sony - that connect from the subwoofer to the satellite receiver, the DVD player and the TV. We mounted the soundbar on the wall over the set and we couldn't believe the sound that emerged from this Sony system. We have a Bose system in the living room and, at about one quarter of the price, the Sony soundbar system actually sounds just as good, if not better. No kidding.



To get the type of great sound (and video) from today's modern electronics like this fabulous Sony soundbar system, it really does matter to use HDMI compatible equipment whenever possible. HDMI cables are used for both audio and video and truly eliminate the cluttered mess of wires and additional cables that once sat behind our TV collecting dust.



We truly wish we had researched soundbar systems before investing a $grand$ in the other one because having had two of these superb Sony soundbar systems would have been more than enough for us.
